Foster Dogs and Court Dates

Well we got a new foster puppy today. She will be staying with us until the shelter finds he a permenant home. She is so sweet. All kind of mutt but she looks like she definately has Min Pin and Black Lab in her.
The dogs are finally starting to get used to having Sadie (the new puppy) around. Which is nice. At first they all went crazy. It was nuts in our house. Austin was knocked down in the base of the chair where he sustained a bruise and scratch on the side of his cheek. Poor little guy!
So Mike goes to Ann Arbor for sentencing next week and then the next day he will go to Cleveland for the punishment hearing this from the coast guard. So we will soon have this whole stupid odeal over and done with. We already know that he is not being recomended for probation. So it is just going to be fines most likely for the civil part of it. As far as the coast guard goes... WHO KNOWS! Such a pain in the butt.
Well if anyone wants to see Sadie the website is http://www.petfinder.com/petnote/displaypet.cgi?petid=13038970
And if anyone would like to adopt her well just let me know!

The ending to a perfect vacation

Well we are home from Florida now. Wow! It was an awesome trip. We started out going to TN and visiting Mike's parents, and then after a few days there we headed to Orlando. We spent 6 days in Florida. Five of this days were spent at Disney World. We had an absolute blast. Austin love meeting all the different characters. Every morning when he would wake up he would start yelling Disney World and Mickey Mouse. My favorite show at Disney was the Lion King. It was amazing. In fact the whole place was amazing. I cant believe that a place this fantastic actually exists. How can people come up with this much awesome stuff?
The first weekend, Andrea came up to see us. Her and her friend Cinda spent the night and we went to get some Chicago style pizza (to heavy of a pizza for me) and then the next day we went and spent a couple hours in downtown Disney. While there we went to the Rain forest Cafe. Austin was terrified at first of the storms and the monkeys yelling.
The last night we were there we went to a dinner show called Arabian Nights. It was absolutely amazing. The things that people can do on horses is just astonishing. What a wonderful job to have. They just train and ride horses and entertain. I wish I could find me something like that. LOL.
I had an absolute wonderful vacation. I enjoyed every moment spent with Austin and Mike. I cant wait till our next adventure.

Crazy weekend and off for a crazy couple weeks

Well this weekend was an absolute blast with it being Austin's birthday. We took him to the Great Wolf Lodge and spent the night. It was so much fun playing with Austin in the pools. He was pretty brave by the second day. But he was scared crapless by the slide that we took him down. Not to mention he keeps reminding me that Slides scared him. LOL. Silly little boy.
So today Mike comes home at lunch and asks if I want to go to Florida. I was like oh yeah that would be fun. But I was thinking like in a couple weeks, No I thought wrong. We are leaving tomorrow. We found some awesome deals on everything and we both need a break. We need to get away and with the awesome deals it works out great. So tomorrow we are leaving after Mike's doctor appointment and we are going to TN. We are going to be staying with his parents and then heading to FL on the 31st. I am very excited. We are going to Disney World. How fun will that be? Austin will finally get to meet Mickey Mouse.
Kenny and Laura came up last week. We had a blast hanging out with them. It is always nice to spend time with them. Makes rough times a little easier. I hate seeing them leave. Austin enjoys having them around. He really has grown quite fond of both of them.
I got my new Jeep. I dont know if I have wrote about that yet. But I love it. I got an awesome deal on it from a dealership in Cadillac. He sold it to me for what he paid for it. Thankgoodness for my Grandma's hookups. Its Red and runs on flex fuel. Cheaper.

A little time please?

Okay maybe it is just me being my sensitive usual self, but I took the time to make Mike a cake and a good dinner and ever since he has gotten home he has been playing his stupid xbox. He came up for dinner and had birthday cake and opened his present and went back downstairs. It kinda hurts my feelings to tell you the truth. I was hoping to spend a nice family night together but instead I have been playing with Austin alone and sitting on this stupid computer. I guess sometimes it would be nice for a little quality time spent together. UGH! I guess that is all I have for now.

Birthday Importance?

I made the birthday cake from scratch today. Arent we all proud? I sure am. I have always made mine from a box. I have already got his cake made and his present wrapped. I am proud. I love birthdays. They are always so much fun. He isnt big into birthdays. He doesnt think they are important. I have always made a big deal of birthdays. I guess that is because my parents always did for us kids when we were little.
Austin's hand is getting better. We need to let it air out but we are having a hard time doing that because when the bandage is off he tends to pick at the burn and makes it bleed. But it is looking much better either way.
School is going well. I need to work on some homework instead of blogging and everything else I am doing tonight. This semester I am taking US History 113 and World Lit 202. Im liking history alot. It is very interesting. But I am having a hard time getting interested in the World Lit. We have alot of reading in both classes. It takes up alot of my time but ya know the way I look at it is that it will all be worth it in the end when I can work and do what I have wanted to do for a long time... and that is working as a case worker for adoption and foster care placement. Plus I will start bringing in some money rather than just sending it out month after month.
Still looking for a car. Grandma has found me a nice one in Caddilac and the dealership said she wants to work with me. So hopefully we can work a good deal out on it. It is a 07 Jeep Commander. I hope I can get it or one just like it. This one is really nice because it only has 6,000 miles on it.
Anyway I am sure you are bored by now. LOL. Nap time for the Austin Monster.

Cakes, Bad Dreams, and Birthdays

Well Im not going down to Traverse tonight. My dumb butt wasnt thinking that tomorrow is Mike's 26th birthday. Yippeee. I love birthdays. So now I have to figure out what to do for him. I already got his present but I dont know what to cook him for dinner. Any ideas anyone? Plus I need to find a good recipe for a made from scratch cake. Hmm... I usually make them from a box. Maybe I would just hide the box? I am so sneaky. I guess I will figure it out.
So now I am going to Traverse on Thursday. Which now Mike is telling me there is a snow storm headed that way. Ugh! I wish things would just work out to my advantage at some point. I did find out that instead of having to fork over money for a dvd system in a car for austy, that Williams can just add it in to the price and it would be cheaper that way. Hmm... Something to think about.

I have been having alot of dreams lately. I cant shake it for some reason. The first one was on New Years Day. Dont think I am crazy but it was almost as if Tyler came to me. We spoke of so many things that had been bothering me for the past almost two years. And now his face seems so familiar rather than a distant (but wonderful) memory. These dreams have been coming quite often now. Im not sure if its because D-Day (the anniversary of Tyler's death) is coming or what is going on. I know that I am happy with my life right now, but when I am having dreams like this it makes me wonder what would life would have been like? But please dont get me wrong... I am so happy with Mike and the way my life is right now. Just that time of year again I guess. I wonder if it will ever change?
A week and a half and Austin will be the big 2 years old. We are going to the Great Wolf Lodge the day after his birthday. I decided that I wanted to take him somewhere nice for his birthday. So we decided on the Great Wolf Lodge.
I guess I should put that little guy down for a nap and do some homework. Cya!

Car Searching... YET AGAIN!

I bought a Buick Rendevouz just a short 8 months ago. I HATE IT! It is a Piece of poop and absolutely terrible in the snow. So here we are back to car shopping and this time with negative equity. Can I get a yippee? I am so upset about it. I feel like I made one of the biggest mistakes I have ever made financially. I am about atleast 1,000-2,500 dollars in the hole with that thing. And now I have to find something that I feel safe in again. I wish I would have just kept my Trailblazer (which I loved by the way). Stupid Stupid Me.
Anyway. So those of you who know the situation with Mike, well he had his arraignment today. We had to drive down to Ann Arbor yesterday and stay the night. All he did was enter a plea of guilty to the charge of Drunk and Disorderly (thankyou U of M rent a cops). So now we have to go back down there on February 19th for his sentencing. I wish this could all just be over. Not to mention the dang CG are dragging their feet and not telling him anything when it comes to his future in the career he is in now. UGH!
Austin had a little accident at Granny's this weekend. He was hanging out with my mom while Mike and I enjoyed a night out to the movies alone. Well while there he was playing and tripped, dont worry though, the fireplace caught him. He ended up with a second degree burn on the back of his right hand. Poor little guy. I swear he just cant catch a break. So now we are wrapping it and putting antibiotic cream on it several times a day.
The Soo is supposed to see -40 degrees this week with the windchill. How ridiculous is that? You cant even go outside with skin exposed or you could possibly die they are saying... hmmm? Why did I have to move to darn near Canada?
We are heading back down to Traverse tomorrow evening after the dog's doctor appointment (which by the way she is sick too with some kind of eye thing). I think we are going to stay at Grandma's because she is going to help me fix this car issue. I am looking at some Jeep Commanders. I guess we will see.
Anyway I think I am going to go watch a movie now. If I can ever get Mike off of the stupid Xbox.
